PerkinElmer

today i had a mission
(previously i did mention about having a mission to enable you to have a more productive day)

my mission today was to attend a talk regarding material characterization by PerkinElmer. they are the manufacturers of a lot of the equipments in the lab. so at first, i didn't realize it was mainly to promote their equipments and their latest findings, or something like that. it was mainly MAINLY for the companies in the related field. however, thinking that i might get some benefit out of this, i attended it.

woke up super early, as usual. got dressed up and all
(discovered that the particular top i was wearing was slightly ketat. pfft!)

 green envy
upon my arrival (a bit early then the rest), i was a bit cuak because most of them registered for this talk and i'm just..crashing. yeah. and so i was lucky to be there early. it was a full house. they gave out a goodie bag with a pen and pamphlet and a book on their slides for today.

for the first 15 minutes i was yawning. widely. non stop. it was soooo boring and i was sooo sleepy.

damn
how am i going to get through the lectures later on?
dammit

i was trying to keep myself awake long enough until it was time for tea break, which dragged on until 11.00am. i was fidgeting and couldn't sit still. i think the person behind me would've been super annoyed with me, or she was just as bored. i wouldn't know. i couldn't be bothered. i was too damn sleepy!

through out the first two topics, i think only 15% was related to what i was doing, so i can't say that it didn't benefit me at all. after that, i decided to skip the rest of the day and go back to my room. after the free food, that is. i thought of going back for the afternoon session, but after much contemplation, here i am. giving out my own talk. hehehehe. that is, after having breakfast. it was, after all, free of charge~ :)

anyways.
hope your day was as interesting as mine.

xoxo
