SANTAI SENI

hahaha. yes. on a quiet wednesday evening, the HEPP USM decided to showcase a talent show. just for kicks. haha. yes. it was very entertaining. apparently, it started last week (i wasn't around to witness this) and it'll be showcasing every month, on wednesday(s?).

to kick start the event, a chinese dude started off by playing this classical chinese instrument, pee pah (or it sounds something like that) and he was awesome! i was so amazed at the fact that he could play such an instrument and the fact that there is actually a youngster who wants to learn and play a classical instrument! he performed two songs, of which i'm assuming that they're both chinese songs. i was concentrating on him playing.
 so mesmerizing ok?

next was a band performance by a group that calls themselves Picasso something. they played 4 songs in total, 2 of which was sung by a girl, both songs by the cranberries. they performed one malay song and a song by oasis. they were good, not superb, but ok lah. bearable

up next was a singing performance by a junior staff. small, petite little girl with a big voice. no doubt she's been performing alot. it shows! she sang for us two old malay numbers. both of which i'm not that familiar with.

we were then entertained by another band performance, a senior band performance who call themselves (or who was being called) JK Band, which stands for Jabatan Keselamatan Band. hahaha. rupa-rupanya pakcik-pakcik guard yang gian nak buat public band performance. hahaha. they performed 4 songs, 2 of which was sung by another vocalist yang lagi selamba sumbang dia. they were very enthusiastic. the lead guitarist was awesome. but yeah, senior kan. haha. the drummer pon selamba awesome. pastu halfway through the performance, terbaling drum sticks. hahahahaha.

pakcik ni nyanyi lagu m.daud kilau - che mek molek. siap gelek ok?

then we were again entertained with a singing performance by the junior staff, which sang 2 songs and another with the JK Band. i think the last one was very impromptu.

so happens that there was a group of kids celebrating a girl's birthday. just her luck, she was called on to the stage and a birthday song was sung to her by everyone. she had cake smeared across her cheeks. haha. nice. this year would be a memorable birthday for her :)

finally, the last band performance was a romantic eric clapton song and a hyper bunkface song to wrap up the night's performances with.

i had a fun and entertaining night!
i suke suke suke! :) :)
thank you for a wonderful night.
hope you had a lovely one as well.
sweetdreams :) :)

xoxo
