college life

half of a student's life is spent living indoors.in a college.dorm.hostel.whatever u wanna call it.

i've stayed in a few different places through out my studying years, be it short term or long term.

1. 11th college, UM - it was still new when i entered. we had 4 blocks, 2 guys n 2 girls. 4 floors each?a bathroom shared between 4 rooms, or as we say a cubicle. 4 to a room. washing machine at every block, ice-maker machine, surau and study rooms.the cafe is situated in between the guy's n girl's blocks. tennis courts on the girl's side and football field across the guy's blocks. oh. no privacy.
2. Kolej Kediaman Tuanku Abdul Rahman (KKA), KUKUM - single story houses with 3 double rooms and 1 single room. total of 7 in a house. kitchen, only big enough to do your washings. toilet and bathroom. oh and the front room has a bathroom attached. 3 rows of houses. the guy's facing the girl's makes it easier to "skodeng". funny actually. watching the guys run around from one house to the next in their boxers ONLY.hahaha! listening to them play computer games at night. in between us, there is a space where the guys use to play futsal or badminton or takraw.whatever they feel like playing that evening. where as we girls will do our kind of recreational activities behind our houses.jogging, futsal (our kind.haha), aerobics. u name it, we've done it all.haha :)
3. Kolej Kediaman Tan Sri Aishah Ghani (KKG), UniMAP - mini apartments. 4 floors. ground floor being the discussion rooms.4 "houses" to a floor, 3 rooms, 2 double and a single, with a total of 5 to a house. cafe is a walking distance. since our block is situated right at the back. however we did get a good view of the football field :)
4. Desasiswa Jaya, USM - 4 floors, currently in a room of 4. no privacy. 

i've dropped by,

1. UKM - two to a room. a bit scary though. i don't know why. it's just so big. the area i mean. not the rooms. bathroom at ever end of the floor.
2. UUM - 4 to a room. double deck. quite small. bathroom at the end of the floor. 
3. Kolej Matrikulasi Perak - 4 to a room. huge room. very cozy. bathroom at every floor.

i think every university is basically the same. its like a requirement right? yeah.

so like i said. it is like asasi all over again to me.

its all about adapting. making the best out of things.

well they all take time.

i've got two whole years ahead of me.

i think i can take my own sweet time adapting right? :)

what have i learn after all these years living in a college/dorm/hostel/house?

1. be nice to the staff and you will be rewarded. in many many ways. hehehehehe 
2. water is forever a problem. peek hours are in the mornings 7-8am and evenings 6-8pm. around these times the toilets will be full and also if luck is not on your side, no water.
3. cafeteria is a walking distance. although it is cheap, but by the time you get back to you room, you'll get hungry again! grr.
4. internet connection will always cause a problem.always.
5. menyidai baju. orang atas tu mesti tak paham. suke sangat tak perah baju kuat-kuat. pastu biar dripping. habislah baju kite yang dah nak kering ni! pfft! 
6. discussion rooms. everywhere i go, there is a special place. however here, its the cafeteria. sad ain't it?
7. you will always find entertainment outside of campus. hehehe.

yes. that's college life. student life.

the ups and downs of a student.

yet its the most memorable experience ever.

complaint all you want, but you just can't deny the fun that you have.
